This is the standard-cover CD of Xperiment, the album Ken Carson released through Opium and Interscope on July 3, 2026. All 22 tracks, a little over an hour of music, sit on one disc in a jewel case. Carson's store also sells two alternate-cover CDs of the album, each under its own barcode; this one carries the standard artwork.

A USB drive ran through the whole rollout. Drives holding the 22-song tracklist and unreleased material were hidden for fans to find in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York, and Carson posted the full tracklist on June 30. The cover picks up the same idea, with a USB drive inserted into his neck, and five short films directed by Joy Divizn accompanied the release.

Twenty-nine producers are credited across the album. 2hollis, who guests on "shadeson," is among them, and the track samples his instrumental "Girl."

Xperiment opened with 42,000 album-equivalent units, entering the Billboard 200 at No. 7, and reached No. 2 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
