NAJI is the debut album from Kareen Lomax, issued on vinyl by music is fun, a division of Seeker Music, and distributed by Virgin Music Group. The label's own store describes this black pressing as a limited first pressing. It holds twelve songs, six to a side, under catalog number MIFUN120LP, printed on both the jacket and the center labels. The digital album runs to thirteen tracks in a different order, adding the 21-second "idontwannawait"; the sequence below is the one printed on this record.

The title is Lomax's own first name. "Naji (nah-gee) is my first name, which a lot of people don't know because growing up I wasn't leading with it," she has said. She describes the record as two sides of one person: "Kareen (kuh-rin), who feels deeply, the one who grieves, loves, and tries to make sense of everything and Naji, who is more direct, more confrontational, and less afraid to say what it is without folding."

According to the album's announcement, the songs grew out of the years after the deaths of her adopted sister in 2020 and her father in 2021. Lomax recorded the whole project herself, working mostly from home studios, and made it over several years between Los Angeles and New York with producer Daoud. The label's notes describe the sound as touching neo-soul, alternative R&B and indie. "OFFLINE," the lead single, was released on July 10, 2026, and the announcement presents it as the album's more direct, Naji side.

Before NAJI, Lomax was heard mostly on other artists' records. Her voice appears on five Diplo singles, among them "Looking For Me" with Paul Woolford, a Top 5 hit in the UK, and on records by Rudimental, and her songwriting credits include releases by Zayn Malik, Leon Bridges, Maroon 5 and Syd. She was raised in Atlanta and is based in Los Angeles.
