Indie Exclusive Definitive Sound Series One-Step 45 RPM 2LP, Limited to 3,000 Numbered Copies

Golden Hour enters the Definitive Sound Series as a One-Step pressing, spread across two 180-gram LPs cut at 45 RPM. Levi Seitz mastered it at Black Belt Mastering from 24-bit/96kHz high-resolution flat masters, and RTI pressed it on Neotech VR900-D2 high-definition vinyl. The run is limited to 3,000 numbered copies and is sold as an Indie Exclusive.

The two discs sit in a tip-on, double-pocket gatefold jacket with a two-sided insert, housed in a custom slipcase printed with the series' One-Step mark, and a certificate of authenticity comes with each copy. At 45 RPM the 13 songs run three or four to a side across four sides, with "High Horse," "Golden Hour" and "Rainbow" closing out side D.

The album is Musgraves' fourth studio record, first issued on March 30, 2018 through MCA Nashville. She co-wrote all 13 songs and co-produced them with Daniel Tashian and Ian Fitchuk, and parts of it were recorded in a studio above a horse stable owned by Sheryl Crow. It debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 and number one on Top Country Albums, then won in all four categories it was nominated for at the 61st Grammy Awards: Album of the Year and Best Country Album, plus Best Country Song for "Space Cowboy" and Best Country Solo Performance for "Butterflies." It also took Album of the Year at the 52nd CMA Awards.

Her sister, Kelly Christine Sutton, shot the cover photograph in and around their hometown of Golden, Texas, and designed the album's original packaging. The "Space Cowboy" video above was directed by Courtney Phillips and filmed in Mexico City.
