Record Store Day 2026 Limited Edition CD in Digipak

This is the Record Store Day 2026 CD reissue of Live A L'Olympia, issued by Columbia and Legacy on April 18, 2026 in an edition of 3,250 copies. The single disc comes in a digipak with a 24-page booklet, and the shrinkwrap carries a sticker naming Grace and "Lover, You Should've Come Over." The back cover has a known misprint: the closing track is numbered 12, though the disc holds 11. The disc was glass-mastered at Sonopress. The same Record Store Day brought the album's first vinyl edition, a double LP.

Live A L'Olympia first appeared on July 3, 2001, the second posthumous live album issued after Buckley's death in 1997. Ten of its eleven tracks come from two concerts Buckley and his band played at the Paris Olympia on July 6 and 7, 1995, during the European tour for Grace; earlier that year he had received France's Grand Prix International du Disque. Between songs he speaks to the crowd, and "Hallelujah" carries lyrics he ad-libbed in reply to the audience. Covers include the MC5's "Kick Out the Jams," a brief pass at Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir," Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" and "That's All I Ask," from Nina Simone's repertoire, which he played at various shows on the 1995 tour.

The closing track comes from a different stage. "What Will You Say" was recorded on July 18, 1995 at the Festival of Sacred Music in Saint-Florent-le-Vieil, with Buckley on guitar and the Azerbaijani mugham singer Alim Qasimov on daf drum, the two trading vocal lines in turn.
