Secret To Spare is the debut album from Los Angeles four-piece Jawdropped, issued on CD by Transgressive Records with Canvasback. Its ten songs open on "The Line" and close on "Two." The band is Kyra Morling on vocals, Roman Zangari on vocals and guitar, Sean Edwards on bass and Cook Lee-Chobanian on drums.

The band produced the record themselves, tracking it live on spare days and weekends through 2025 with engineer Colin Knight of Agriculture. Alex Farrar, whose mixing credits include MJ Lenderman and Waxahatchee, mixed it. "We wanted it to sound like a band in a room, so we recorded live and tried not to water down what we do," Zangari has said, and Transgressive's notes name the Lemonheads, Paul Westerberg, Teenage Fanclub and Dinosaur Jr. as touchstones.

Morling has said, "I'm always writing based off of things that I hear, or something that happened to a friend," and has described "Cup," drawn from things observed in a bar, as the most literal song on the record. Zangari has said "Split Lip" is "about being in a band and struggling to keep your stuff in check." Rob Fraebel directed the videos for both "Split Lip" and "Monday."

Before the album, Jawdropped released the five-track EP Just Fantasy through Angel Tapes on April 25, 2025, and played support dates with Real Estate, Bully, Greg Freeman and Momma. Their signing to Transgressive and Canvasback was announced alongside the song "Monday."
