Remastered 180 Gram Black Vinyl With 12-Inch Booklet

The standard black edition of the 2026 Live Through This reissue: one 180-gram LP in the original album artwork and restored packaging, with an eight-page, 12-by-12-inch booklet of archival photography and imagery modeled on the album's first presentation. Eric Erlandson, Hole's founding guitarist, oversaw every aspect of the project, and the record was remastered for vinyl. It was issued alongside a zoetrope pressing animated with loops from the album's original music videos.

Hole recorded the album in October 1993 at Triclops Sound Studios in Marietta, Georgia, with Paul Q. Kolderie and Sean Slade producing. Scott Litt mixed it in Los Angeles and Seattle, except for "Gutless," which J Mascis mixed in New York. Courtney Love sang, Erlandson played guitar, Kristen Pfaff played bass and Patty Schemel played drums, with Dana Kletter on backing vocals for seven songs.

DGC put it out on April 12, 1994, on CD and cassette in North America, while City Slang pressed a limited LP overseas. It peaked at No. 52 on the Billboard 200 over a 68-week run and at No. 13 on the UK Albums Chart, and the RIAA certified it platinum in April 1995. "Miss World" was the first single, followed by "Doll Parts" and "Violet." Rolling Stone ranked it No. 106 in its 2020 list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

Ellen von Unwerth photographed the cover, with model Leilani Bishop in pageant tiara and flowers, and the back cover uses a childhood photograph of Love taken in Springfield, Oregon. The title is taken from a line in Gone with the Wind. "Credit in the Straight World" is a Stuart Moxham song, and "I Think That I Would Die" was written by Love and Erlandson with Kat Bjelland.
