1982 US pressing, Arista AL 6606, pressed at Electrosound Group Midwest
This is the Electrosound Group Midwest pressing of Heaven 17, the band's US-only Arista album, identified by EMW11 ESM etched in the runout of both sides. The same catalog number was also pressed at Hauppauge Record Manufacturing, whose copies carry HRM in the runout instead.
The object
One 12-inch LP with label matrix numbers AL 6606 SA and AL 6606 SB, labels bearing both the Arista and Virgin logos, and the barcode number 0 7822-16606-1. Side A is stamped MASTERING BY FRANKFORD/WAYNE NEW YORK with the initials TC etched nearby, and both sides carry a Roman numeral II beside the catalog number.
Context
Arista assembled this album for the US in 1982: six of its nine tracks come from the 1981 UK Virgin album Penthouse and Pavement, while "Let Me Go" and "Who Will Stop The Rain" were issued here before they appeared on the UK album The Luxury Gap in April 1983. It is an original issue, not a reissue.
