Black Vinyl, 2LP

Volume Six of Hawkwind, Friends and Relations arrives as a double album on black vinyl: fifteen tracks across two LPs, drawn from Hawkwind themselves, from solo and side projects by members of the current line-up, and from the musicians and collectives orbiting the band.

The series began in March 1982 on Flicknife Records, collecting live and studio performances by Hawkwind and the bands around them. Cherry Red later acquired the Flicknife catalogue and has issued that material through its Anagram imprint since; this volume is the label's own continuation of the run.

Hawkwind open the first LP and return midway through the second. Dave Brock takes three tracks on his own. Thighpaulsandra, Storm Brewing and T.O.S.H. take two apiece, and Martin Krel, The Stone Ryders, Barkus and the pairing credited as Dave And Richard take one each. T.O.S.H. is Technicians Of Spaceship Hawkwind, the band's own crew collective, and Hawkwind musicians appear as guests on its recordings. Cherry Red describes the range as running from space rock and psychedelia through experimental electronics to atmospheric instrumentals. The sleeve makes the premise literal: a carved family tree with each contributor's name on a banner among the branches.

The release is timed to the Hawkwind Friends & Relations weekend at Morecambe Winter Gardens, where Hawkwind play alongside bands and projects from the extended family.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.
