This pressing of Commune is a single LP on jade blue vinyl in a die-cut sleeve, limited to 1,000 copies. It is Sub Pop's reissue of the 2014 album, catalog number SP1095, and it carries the original nine songs.

Commune was Goat's second album and their first for Sub Pop. It came out in September 2014 on Sub Pop in North America, on Rocket Recordings elsewhere and on Stranded Rekords in Scandinavia, two years after their debut, World Music. The band produced it themselves, and every song is credited to Goat.

The group trace their roots to Korpilombolo, a village in Norrbotten in the far north of Sweden, and are now based in Gothenburg. The members remain anonymous and perform in masks and costumes. Sub Pop's notes describe a sound that works heavy psych-rock together with Nigerian afrobeat, German krautrock and Anatolian funk, and quote an unnamed member of the group: "GOAT is mainly a symbol of sacrifice. To sacrifice the individual for the collective good."

The album reached No. 17 in Sweden, No. 47 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 139 on the Billboard 200, and it placed No. 5 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers. Time Out London ranked it fourth on its list of the 30 best albums of 2014. The video for "Hide from the Sun," directed by Sam Macon with character illustrations by Stacey Rozich, followed in October 2014.
