This is the standard black vinyl LP of The Most Beautiful Colours, the 2026 album from the brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone, released through Word Entertainment. The duo's own store sells it alongside a CD and an online-exclusive colored vinyl whose two sides are pressed differently. Like the other physical editions, the LP adds three songs recorded in Ireland to the ten-track album: "Cornerstone," "Miracle" and "Thin Air," each subtitled "From The Emerald Isle," for thirteen tracks in all.

The Smallbones produced the album with Josh Kerr and Tedd Tjornhom, with further production from Taylor Hill, Rodney Jerkins and Jeff Sojka. Taylor Hill sings on "World On Fire," the brothers' wives Courtney Smallbone and Moriah join them on the duet "Ever & Ever Before," and Jessica Simpson appears on "My Mosaic." The duo's notes describe "A Good Man" as a tribute to their father.

"World On Fire," written and produced by the Smallbones with Hill and Tjornhom, went to US Christian radio on October 2, 2025, and reached No. 1 on Australia's TCM Christian Airplay chart. Its video was filmed in the Dominican Republic and directed by Kadin Tooley. "Ever & Ever Before" followed as a single in January 2026, then "What If I Told You?" in July.

The Smallbone brothers were born in Australia and moved to the United States as children, settling in the Nashville area; the singer Rebecca St. James is their older sister. At the 57th Grammy Awards in 2015 they won Best Contemporary Christian Music Album and Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song. Their earlier albums are Crave (2012), Run Wild. Live Free.
