Legacy is the tenth Five Finger Death Punch album and lands on the band's twentieth anniversary. Zoltan Bathory has said the record began as roughly thirty compositions, was cut down to fourteen or fifteen, and was briefly weighed as a double album before becoming a single record; he describes the result as heavier than anything the band has done in years, with a cinematic undertone. At announcement he added: "Every album is a snapshot of who we were at that particular moment in time, and Legacy is exactly what the title suggests."

The album reached digital on July 31, 2026. "Eye Of The Storm" preceded it as the lead single in May 2026 and "De Oppresso Liber" followed in June. The band is Ivan Moody, Zoltan Bathory, Andy James, Chris Kael and Charlie Engen.
