Indie Exclusive Brown Vinyl

The independent record store edition of Forward, a single LP pressed on brown vinyl. The album is self-released by the band.

First Day Back recorded Forward at home in Santa Cruz between spring 2024 and winter 2025, and released it digitally on June 1, 2025. This 2026 pressing is its first issue on vinyl.

The nine songs put violin and harmonica into a second-wave emo frame. The label copy carried with the release names Cap'n Jazz, American Football and Braid as its points of reference, and calls the record "a love letter to the past, post-dated well into the future."
