Limited Edition White Vinyl LP With Printed Inner Sleeve

And Their Power Was Alive on a single white vinyl LP from Whited Sepulchre Records. The vinyl edition is limited to 300 copies and is packed with a printed inner sleeve.

The album is a collaboration between two players who had worked together before. Faith Coloccia, an artist and composer based on Vashon Island, Washington, is the founding member and primary songwriter of Mamiffer and has also played in Everlovely Lightningheart, Pyramids and House of Low Culture. Tashi Dorji is a guitarist based in Asheville, North Carolina. On this record Coloccia handles piano and voice, and Dorji plays guitar.

The two traded demos first and final takes later, across two studios and several years. Nicholas Wilbur recorded the piano, organ and tubular bells at The Unknown Studio in Anacortes, Washington, in 2021. Dorji recorded his guitar parts at his home studio in Asheville in 2021 and 2022, and Coloccia tracked vocals and percussion on Vashon Island between 2024 and 2025. Scott Evans mixed the album at Antisleep in Oakland, California, in June 2025, and mastered it as well.

Whited Sepulchre's notes frame the album around land: ties to it lost and sometimes recovered, and ground that has been divided up and privatized. Coloccia's voice is recorded dry, with no reverb, and the label traces her lyrics to phrases from dreams that came during major changes in her life, among them a drive through the desert and explaining private property to the next generation. "Short Lived Echo" was the first track shared ahead of release. The collaboration arrived the same year as Dorji's solo album low clouds hang, this land is on fire, issued by Drag City in January 2026.
