DEATH OF ME, the first mini album from EVAN, comes in two versions, and this is the NATURAL Ver., built around a pale blue book cover with the album title printed in silver. Inside are a photobook, the CD, a folded poster, two logo stickers, a set of three photo boards, and one Photocard A and one Photocard B, each drawn from two designs, plus a photocard the distributor lists as a US, EU and Australian retail exclusive. The package measures 212 x 165 x 13 mm. Belift Lab's contents sheet gives the NATURAL Ver. photobook as 60 pages and shows the disc printed in the same pale blue.

The eight songs were released on September 7, 2026. Belift Lab describes EVAN as leading the album's whole production and creative process, and he took part in writing and composing the title track, "Death of Me." The label places the set across pop R&B, alternative rock and indie pop, closing on the dream pop of "Going Home."

EVAN is the solo name of Lee Hee-seung, who sang as Heeseung in ENHYPEN from the group's debut with Border: Day One in November 2020, after finishing fifth on the survival show I-LAND earlier that year. He left ENHYPEN in March 2026 to pursue a solo career with Belift Lab and took the name EVAN that April. His first solo single, "Ride or Die," came out in June 2026 and, according to the label's announcement, reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in nine countries and regions; it is the third track here. In August 2026 he appeared in the GRAMMY Museum's Spotlight program in Los Angeles and at KCON LA.
