This is the Indianapolis-pressed RCA edition, with lacquers cut at Precision Lacquer by Stephen Marcussen and stampers plated by Sheffield Lab Matrix, whose plating number SLM △ 9509 is etched in both runouts. It is the US counterpart of the RCA PL 70711 release issued in the UK and Europe.

The object

A single LP with a printed inner sleeve and a printed 11.5-inch square insert carrying credits and lyrics. The labels read AJL1-5429-A and AJL1-5429-B, and every stamper of this pressing carries SLM △ 9509 and a Precision mark in the runout. The insert notes that "There Must Be An Angel" is dedicated to Stevie Wonder.

Context

RCA first released Be Yourself Tonight in the UK on April 29, 1985, and this AJL1-5429 pressing is the original US issue from the same year, not a later reissue. The US jacket and inner sleeve state manufacture and distribution by RCA Records, New York.
