Alexandra Drewchin made the record as Eartheater after the birth of her daughter in May 2025 and her repurchase of the family farm she grew up on. She produced it with Dave Sitek; Nosaj Thing and Michael Andrews both worked on the closing track, "Nova." Oklou sings on "Fast Asleep." It was issued through Chemical X and Because Music under exclusive license to Mad Decent.

Three singles came first: "Nova" in June 2025, then "Paradise Rains" in May 2026, which carried the album announcement and looked back on returning to that property after twenty years away, and "Crown Jewel" in June 2026. Clash rated the album 8 out of 10, with Seth White calling it "a universally expansive and diaristic tribute."
