Indie Exclusive Translucent Red & Black Ice Double Vinyl, 30th Anniversary Edition

Rap-A-Lot reissues Picture This, the 1996 debut by Chicago's Do Or Die, for its 30th anniversary as part of the label's own 40th anniversary campaign. This independent-retail edition spreads the album across two LPs pressed on translucent red and black ice vinyl, housed in a commemorative anniversary cover with a glossy 8x10 photo insert.

Picture This was first released on September 3, 1996. It reached number 27 on the Billboard 200 and number 3 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, and was certified gold by the RIAA. Its lead single, "Po Pimp," featuring Twista and Johnny P and produced by the Legendary Traxster, began as a local hit on Chicago's independent Creator's Way Records before Rap-A-Lot gave it a national release. It topped the Hot Rap Singles chart and reached number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Do Or Die are N.A.R.D., Belo Zero and AK-47, from the East Garfield Park neighborhood on Chicago's West Side. The album was produced by Crazy C, Mike Dean and the Legendary Traxster, with J. Prince as executive producer, and recorded at Creator's Way in Chicago and Lil J in Houston. Twista appears on three of the eleven tracks and Johnny P on two.
