Cleopatra presses the standalone LP of its Deth Red Sabaoth reissue in three colorways, and this is the black and red haze one, sitting between plain black and a black, red and yellow haze splatter. Six songs are on side A and five on side B. It is the record on its own: the poster and booklet packed with the box editions are not part of it. Rough Trade's listing adds that each pressing is unique and that color and finish may vary slightly from the photograph.

Cleopatra announced the reissue in July 2026. By then, according to Consequence, copies of the album in any format, the 2022 repressing included, had been selling for more than $100.

The original came out in 2010 as the first new Danzig studio album in six years, following Circle of Snakes in 2004. Glenn Danzig wrote every song and produced the record, tracking it between 2008 and 2010 at Sunset Lodge in Los Angeles and Paramount Studios in Hollywood, and mixed it with engineer Chris Rakestraw. "I wanted to have an organic sound, bigger and thicker, so I went out and bought some 1970s Kustom tuck 'n' roll bass amps to play some of the guitar parts through," he said. Joe Chiodo painted the cover.

"On a Wicked Night" led the album as its first single in June 2010, with a video shot at the Batcave in the Hollywood Hills. "Ju Ju Bone," heard above, followed as a 7-inch single on AFM Records in 2011. Danzig has said the "Sabaoth" of the title is the original pronunciation of "Sabbath."
