Warp's tenth-anniversary edition of Atrocity Exhibition is a two-LP set cut across four sides and pressed on transparent blue vinyl. The jackets are silver mirriboard, the inner sleeves are printed, and an eight-page 12-inch booklet is included. Ed Davis, who designed the original 2016 sleeve, drew alternate artwork for this edition. Warp describes it as a one-time pressing. Catalog number WARPLP276RB.

The album was released on September 30, 2016, and was Danny Brown's first for Warp. Production came from Paul White, Evian Christ, Black Milk, The Alchemist, Playa Haze and Petite Noir, with Derek "MixedByAli" Ali mixing. The label's notes describe the record drawing on 1970s German cosmic rock records, radiophonic experiments and industrial techno for its source material.

Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul and Earl Sweatshirt all appear on "Really Doe"; Kelela sings on "From The Ground", B-Real appears on "Get Hi", and Petite Noir appears on "Rolling Stone". Brown announced the album's title in 2016 by posting a photograph of Ian Curtis's lyrics; Joy Division's "Atrocity Exhibition" opens their 1980 album Closer, and J. G. Ballard published an experimental novel of the same name in 1970. SPIN's original review called the record "a thrilling, harrowing ride."
