Crystal Clear Translucent Double Vinyl

Daniel Pemberton wrote the score for Project Hail Mary, and Milan Records released it on March 20, 2026. This is its first vinyl edition: two crystal clear translucent discs holding a little over 85 minutes, drawn from an album that runs close to two hours in full.

Pemberton built the score on played instruments and recorded sound rather than synthesizers. Sessions ran through 2025 and 2026 at Abbey Road and AIR Studios in London and at Rue Boyer and Les Studios Saint Germain in Paris, with the Chamber Orchestra of London conducted by Edward Farmer. Thomas Bloch plays cristal baschet, ondes martenot and glass harmonica. The choral parts come from London Voices and the vocal ensemble Shards, one drum pattern is assembled from sixteen people performing body percussion, and a recurring texture began as a leaking tap recorded on a phone.

The package carries imagery from the film. "Amaze Amaze Amaze," the score's main theme, appears twice on the final side, as "Fist My Bump" and as "Life On Erid."
