Black Vinyl 3LP With 24" x 36" Fold-Out Poster

This is the black vinyl triple LP of Diamond Jubilee, issued by W.25TH, the artist label of Superior Viaduct, under catalog number W25-18. The album's 32 songs run across six sides, and the set comes with a 24" x 36" fold-out poster and a download card. Lacquers were cut by Kassian, whose name is etched into the runouts, from Joshua Stevenson's master made at Otic Sound in Vancouver. The label also offered a gold vinyl version as a mail-order exclusive, one-time pressing; this is the black vinyl edition.

The album first appeared on March 29, 2024 on Realistik Studios, Patrick Flegel's own label, and for months it was available only as a single full-length YouTube stream and as a download from a GeoCities-hosted website, absent from the usual streaming services. It reached Bandcamp on October 23, 2024, when physical pre-orders opened, and W.25TH's CD and triple LP followed, the first time the record was issued on vinyl.

Cindy Lee is the performance and songwriting project of Patrick Flegel, formerly guitarist and lead singer of Women, and Diamond Jubilee is the project's seventh studio album. Flegel wrote and recorded it over several years at Realistik Studios in Toronto, Durham, Calgary and Montreal, with further work at Centre of the Universe in Montreal. Steven Lind mixed the record, co-wrote "Baby Blue" and added guitar, bass, drums, synthesizer and strings to several songs. The back cover dedicates the album to Erwin Flegel and Johnny Flegel.

Pitchfork's Andy Cush rated it 9.1, the site's highest score for a new album since Fiona Apple's Fetch the Bolt Cutters in 2020, and Pitchfork, Exclaim! and Gorilla vs. Bear each named it the best album of 2024. Pitchfork later ranked it third among the best albums of the first half of the 2020s. It was shortlisted for the 2024 Polaris Music Prize, and Metacritic lists a weighted average of 91 from seven critic scores.

The cover image is Flegel's, built on Phil Osborne's photograph of the Alberta Terminals Limited grain elevator in Lethbridge, Alberta. Mounir Al Shami took the back cover photo, and the poster photo and set design are by JG of Material Group.
