Black Vinyl 2LP in Gatefold Jacket

This is the Mercury Nashville double-LP pressing of Traveller, Chris Stapleton's debut album, on black vinyl in a gatefold jacket. It came out on May 26, 2015, three weeks after the album's release on May 5, with the 14 songs spread across four sides. The closing "Sometimes I Cry" is a live recording made at RCA Studio A in Nashville in 2014.

Dave Cobb produced the album with Stapleton, and Vance Powell served as recording engineer. The sessions took place at Nashville's RCA Studio A, with additional production at The Castle and Blackbird Studio; Cobb chose Studio A after reading reports that the historic building faced demolition.

Twelve of the songs are Stapleton originals. The other two are "Tennessee Whiskey," written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove, and "Was It 26," written by Don Sampson.

Traveller debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200. After Stapleton performed with Justin Timberlake at the 2015 CMA Awards, it re-entered the chart at No. 1 and held the top spot for a second week. It was named Album of the Year at both the CMA Awards and the ACM Awards, and at the 2016 Grammy Awards it won Best Country Album while the title track won Best Country Solo Performance.
