UltraDisc One-Step, Numbered Edition Of 3,000, 180g 45 RPM 2LP Box Set

Mobile Fidelity's UltraDisc One-Step pressing of Chris Isaak's third album, cut from the original master tapes and spread across four 45 RPM sides. The One-Step process skips the father and mother plates of ordinary three-step plating and makes the stampers straight from the lacquers, which is where the series gets its lower noise floor. Krieg Wunderlich mastered it; Fidelity Record Pressing pressed it on 180 gram vinyl. The set is numbered and limited to 3,000 copies, housed in a deluxe slipcase with foil-stamped jackets.

Erik Jacobsen produced the album in 1988 at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley and Dave Wellhausen Recording in San Francisco. Isaak's band Silvertone played it: James Calvin Wilsey on lead guitar, Rowland Salley on bass and Kenney Dale Johnson on drums, both singing, with Prairie Prince, Frank Martin and others filling in around them.

Reprise issued it in June 1989 and it reached only No. 149 on the Billboard 200 before falling off. David Lynch then used two of its cuts in Wild at Heart in 1990; Lee Chesnut, music director at WAPW in Atlanta, heard the instrumental "Wicked Game" on the soundtrack and put the album version into heavy rotation. The single reached No. 6 on the Hot 100 in the week of March 2, 1991, the album re-peaked at No. 7, and the RIAA has since certified it 2x Platinum for 2.6 million copies. It also reached No. 7 in the United Kingdom and No. 6 in Canada.

This set adds "Diddley Daddy", written by Bo Diddley and Harvey Fuqua, which is not on the original album; every other track is Isaak's own. The album was first released on June 13, 1989.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.

Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.

• Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.
