Recycled Eco Black Vinyl, With A Double-Sided Maxi Poster

Chloe Slater's first album, on recycled eco black vinyl with a double-sided maxi poster. It is released by Stolen Juice through AWAL, not under her own name as the distributor feed has it; the indies-exclusive eco blue pressing is a separate barcode.

Jack Shuter and Ash Workman produced. Adrian Edeline plays guitar and Graham Godfrey drums on both tracks whose credits have been published, and Slater plays bass, guitar and synthesizer on "Mother Nature's Killing Spree", which she wrote with Jamie Rendle. "I've Never Felt So Hated" she wrote with Shuter.

Four of the ten came out first. "Ugly" arrived in May 2026; she wrote it "after watching a documentary on Netflix called Buy Now: The Shopping Conspiracy, which looks at where 'away' actually is when we throw things out. The song centres around this almost religious compulsion we have towards consumerism." "Southern Youth" followed on 12 June with the album announcement, "Mother Nature's Killing Spree" — "a song about being in love on the last day of the world", citing Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 — on 24 July, and "I've Never Felt So Hated" on 28 August.

Slater was raised in Bournemouth by a single mother, picked up an acoustic guitar at thirteen, and moved to Manchester at eighteen for a music degree she left; she came up through the city's open-mic circuit and signed to AWAL in August 2024. The title, she says, names "a spirit or feeling found not exclusively, but most often, in young minds." "Southern Youth" is about the hometown she left: "Since I was sixteen I've been pretty desperate to live in a city, and I moved to Manchester as soon as I got the chance. After experiencing life in the city, I suppose in a lot of ways I feel more grateful to have grown up there now than I did when I left."

She played the BBC Music Introducing stage at Glastonbury 2024 and the Left Field stage there in 2025, was an official showcase artist at Eurosonic Noorderslag 2025, and has recorded a Maida Vale session for BBC Radio 6 Music. Two EPs precede the album: You Can't Put a Price on Fun (May 2024) and Love Me Please (4 February 2025), both on Stolen Juice. The album tour opens on 3 November 2026 and reaches the Scala in London on the 10th, her largest headline show to date; a pound from every ticket goes to Music Declares Emergency's Plus 1 climate fund.
