This edition presses Chakzilla on a single LP of red and black Inkplosion EcoVinyl, with a folded poster included. The jacket casts Khan as a giant above midtown Manhattan, one hand gripping the spire of the Empire State Building.

Beyond Greg Kurstin's own playing, Jon Dretto adds guitar to seven of the ten tracks, and Lenny Kravitz plays guitar and sings backing vocals on "Bring the Party" as well as taking his featured turn.

"Curious Subject," written with Sia and Kurstin, was issued on August 20, 2026 as the third single. Its lyric reflects on growing older: "The more I grow, the less I know." Khan performed it for A COLORS SHOW, her second appearance on the platform after a July performance of "Through the Fire."

Khan's recording history runs back to Rufus, whose 1974 single "Tell Me Something Good," written by Stevie Wonder, reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won the group its first Grammy. Her 1978 solo debut on Warner Bros. carried "I'm Every Woman," written for her by Ashford & Simpson, which went to No. 1 on the R&B chart. In 1983 "Ain't Nobody," recorded with Rufus, also reached No. 1 on the R&B chart.
