1981 US pressing, A&M Records SP 3100, pressed at RCA Records, Indianapolis
This is A&M's 1981 reissue of Bryan Adams's debut album, moved from its original catalog number SP-4800 to SP 3100 and pressed at RCA's Indianapolis plant. The "R" printed beside the A&M logo on the label is that plant's code for A&M work, and RCA is etched into the runout of every stamper of this issue.
The object
One 12-inch stereo LP with label matrix numbers SP-03100-A and SP-03100-B and the barcode number 0 7502-13100-1. Both runouts are etched with the A&M catalog reference and side letter, the letters RCA, and a small face with pointy ears, the signature of lacquer cutter Frank DeLuna, with a serif "I" stamped alongside as the Indianapolis plant mark.
Context
A&M first released Bryan Adams on February 12, 1980, as SP-4800; this SP 3100 edition followed in 1981, the same year as his second album, You Want It You Got It. The songs were recorded at Manta Sound in Toronto and Pinewood Studios in Vancouver.
