CD With Three Bonus Tracks

The CD edition of Dedicated to You carries twelve tracks. The album's nine come first, then three bonus tracks: "Say It (Over and Over Again)," "Nancy (With the Laughing Face)" and a trio performance of "Big Nick."

Blue Note issued the album on September 18, 2026, as a tribute to John Coltrane in his centennial year. Branford Marsalis leads his quartet of pianist Joey Calderazzo, bassist Eric Revis and drummer Justin Faulkner, with Dianne Reeves on vocals.

Reeves sings the six standards from John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman, the Impulse album recorded at Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, on March 7, 1963, and produced by Bob Thiele: "They Say It's Wonderful," "Dedicated to You," "My One and Only Love," "Lush Life," "You Are Too Beautiful" and "Autumn Serenade." The quartet takes three Coltrane compositions as instrumentals, "Big Nick," "26-2" and "Central Park West," the last a duo for Marsalis on soprano saxophone and Calderazzo. "They Say It's Wonderful" was the album's first single.

The recording was made at Spivey Hall, on the Clayton State University campus in Morrow, Georgia, with Rob Hunter engineering. "Joey and I played duos in that venue in 2012, and we were shocked by the quality of the room's sound," Marsalis has said. The arrangements took shape in the room: "We played each one together, then decided what had to be added or taken away." Of the choice of singer, he said, "Dianne's got the thing."
