Indie Exclusive Autographed CD in Trifold Wallet With PVC Sleeve

This is the independent-store CD of Distance in Static, sold autographed, per the distributor. A retail listing for the edition describes a trifold card wallet with an insert, held in a limited PVC outer sleeve, and the distributor's product image shows the wallet inside that clear sleeve. Ninja Tune's regular CD of the album, catalog number ZENCD328, uses the same trifold wallet. All fourteen tracks sit on the one disc, "ID700" included, as printed on the back of the wallet.

Ninja Tune announced the album on June 10, 2026, with the single "Me and You." Simon Green recorded it in Los Angeles, Tokyo and London as well as at Neil Young's ranch studio in California, and according to the announcement its lyrics are sung in English, Urdu and Japanese over historic Iranian samples and guzheng recordings. "Dawn," the opening track, is the audio above. The record closes with two more vocal features, Ichiko Aoba on "Equinoctial" and Kanako Yamamoto on "Mercury."

"It's probably the last go-around the track in this format," Green said when the album was announced, adding that "it's really about me redefining how to be a musician from here." The live show built around it is a new production designed by Pierre Claude, whose credits include Air, Gesaffelstein, Phoenix and Caroline Polachek.
