Black Vinyl LP

This is Jagjaguwar's single black LP of Bon Iver's debut, catalog number JAG115, first issued by the label on February 19, 2008. The disc plays at 33 1/3 RPM and comes in a two-sided, matte-finished jacket with a single-sided insert and a digital download card. Side A runs from "Flume" through "The Wolves (Act I and II)", and side B picks up at "Blindsided" and closes on "Re: Stacks". Nick Peterson of Track & Field in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, mastered the record.

Justin Vernon made For Emma, Forever Ago largely alone in his father's hunting cabin in northwestern Wisconsin, recording between late 2006 and early 2007 with a few guitars, microphones and a Power Mac G4 running Pro Tools. He stacked his falsetto in layers to imitate a choir, and brass was added to "For Emma" before he returned to Raleigh; the credits name Christy Smith on drums and vocals and Randy Pingrey on trombone. Vernon self-released the album in July 2007, and Jagjaguwar signed him later that year.

The album has been certified platinum by the RIAA, and "Skinny Love" was issued as its first single on April 28, 2008. Mojo and Uncut both gave the UK release five stars and named it Album of the Month, and Rolling Stone placed it at number 461 on its 2020 list of the greatest albums of all time.

Shipping Speeds & Delivery Estimates

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.

Signature Requirements

Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.

Tracking & Safe Delivery

Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking information via email. We recommend monitoring tracking updates and ensuring delivery to a secure location.

Evergreen Vinyl is not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after being marked as delivered by the carrier. Customers are responsible for selecting a shipping address where deliveries can be received safely.

If a shipment is delayed, missing, or marked as delivered but not received, we’re happy to assist in coordinating with the carrier.

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect:

• Please retain all original packaging, including the outer box and packing materials

• Contact us as soon as possible (ideally immediately) after delivery

• Include your order number, a brief description of the issue, and clear photos

Prompt reporting allows us to resolve issues efficiently and, when applicable, pursue carrier claims.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method after inspection (if a return is required).

• Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.

Preorders

Preorders may be cancelled for a full refund at any time before the order ships.

Once a preorder has shipped, it is treated as a completed order and is subject to the return, refund, and exchange policies outlined above.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund unless they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect:

• Merchandise and accessories
