Eco-Mix Recycled Vinyl LP

This is the vinyl LP of Stay Lonely, catalog number JAZZLIFE114LP, issued on the band's own Jazz Life label under an exclusive license to V2 Records. The band's store describes the pressing as eco-mix vinyl, made by combining different colors of recycled vinyl so that every copy comes out as its own random mix; UK retailers list it as recycled grey. All ten tracks sit on a single LP, with a CD edition issued alongside it.

Blood Red Shoes wrote, recorded, produced and mixed the album themselves, working without a manager, A&R or an outside producer. The duo call it "a romantic but melancholic record," one that "comes from a place of truth and understanding that could have only come from two people who are so comfortable with each other it's possible to be truly unguarded and honest."

"Screams," the duo's first new music since 2023, came out with its video in April 2026; the band describe it as "a reflective, messy, unpretentious rock n roll song." "Start To End" and "Get Back Into Myself" followed together as a double single on June 12, 2026, the day the album was announced for a September 18 release. "Get Back Into Myself" was among the first songs written for the record, and the band built it while experimenting with early digital sampling technology, with DJ Shadow and Portishead as reference points.

Laura-Mary Carter (guitar, vocals) and Steven Ansell (drums, vocals) formed Blood Red Shoes in Brighton in 2004. Their debut, Box of Secrets, came out on Mercury in 2008, and Fire Like This (2010) and In Time to Voices (2012) followed on V2. In 2014 they founded Jazz Life and released a self-titled album they recorded over six months in Berlin and produced and engineered themselves, then Get Tragic (2019), produced by Nick Launay and Adam Greenspan, and Ghosts on Tape (2022).
