Standard black vinyl, one LP. Several pressings of this record are in circulation — a bio-attributed Cloud White direct-to-consumer exclusive, an indie exclusive vintage green, and a numbered 180-gram one-step housed in a slipcase. This is the standard black.

Ride Lonesome is Beck's first record of all-new songs since Hyperspace. He produced it himself and Nigel Godrich mixed it, working in Room B at United Studios in Hollywood. The band is the one he made Sea Change, Morning Phase and Mutations with — Smokey Hormel, Joey Waronker, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Roger Joseph Manning Jr. and Jason Falkner — and the label positions the album as a return to the atmospheric territory of those records.

Two songs went out ahead of it: "In The Night" in July 2026, with a video directed by Mikai Karl, and "Disappearing Act" in August, which pairs acoustic guitar and orchestration with vocals.
