Translucent Red 140 Gram Vinyl · 30th Anniversary Edition

Fourteen instrumental and dub sides drawn from Bunny "Striker" Lee's vaults, carrying Augustus Pablo's melodica across rhythms cut between 1972 and 1992. The sleeve credits the sessions to Randy's Studio 17, Treasure Isle, Dynamic Sounds, Channel One and Harry J Studios in Kingston, with The Aggrovators as the backing band, and the mixes to King Tubby's studio, where King Tubby, Prince Jammy, Phillip Smart and Pat Kelly worked on them. Pablo plays melodica and keyboards throughout.

Lee's method was to re-cut rhythms already proven on the sound systems, and the sleeve names the sources for this set: Queen of the Minstrels (The Eternals), Rough Rider (Prince Buster), Ride Your Donkey (The Tennors), My Desire (John Holt), Three Blind Mice (Max Romeo), No Jestering (Carl Malcolm), Scorpion in His Underpants (Nora Dean), Occupation (Don Drummond), Everything I Own (Ken Boothe) and A House Is Not a Home (Sugar Minott).

The collection first appeared in 1996 on the French label Lagoon and was issued again on CD by Culture Press two years later. This is its first pressing on vinyl: Charly Records has remastered it for the thirtieth anniversary and pressed it on 140 gram translucent red vinyl, with Jean-Luc Young credited as executive producer for the reissue. Catalog number CPC 44505.

Order Processing

Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1–3 business days after payment is received. Orders placed on weekends or holidays are processed on the next business day.

Pre-orders generally ship on or around the official release date of the title. When available, estimated ship timing is noted on the product page.

Shipping Speeds & Delivery Estimates

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.

Signature Requirements

Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.
