Fully Automatic Bluetooth Belt-Drive Turntable, Black/Silver
The Audio-Technica AT-LP70XBT is a fully automatic, belt-drive turntable aimed at newer listeners who want analog playback without the setup. It plays 33-1/3 and 45 RPM records, and the fully automatic operation starts the record, returns the tonearm, and stops on its own.
Tracking is handled by a fixed AT-VM95C Dual Moving Magnet cartridge with a 0.6 mil conical stylus, set into a J-shaped tonearm engineered to minimize tracking error. The stylus accepts any VM95 Series replacement, so it can be stepped up to an elliptical, microlinear, or Shibata profile without swapping a headshell.
A built-in switchable phono/line preamp connects the turntable to a stereo, powered speakers, or a computer whether or not that component has a dedicated phono input. Bluetooth 5.2 adds wireless playback to Bluetooth speakers, headphones, and other devices, with support for the Qualcomm aptX Adaptive, aptX, and SBC codecs.
A three-piece anti-resonance chassis and a die-cast aluminum platter with felt mat dampen unwanted vibration. AC/DC conversion is handled by an external AC adapter, keeping that noise out of the signal chain.
