Megaforce Records issued this CD edition of Cursum Perficio to independent record stores. It holds all 11 tracks of the album on one disc, with a running time of 53 minutes and 43 seconds.

Megaforce is the label Anthrax started on: it released their debut, Fistful of Metal, in 1984, and it also put out Worship Music and For All Kings. Cursum Perficio is a Megaforce release in the United States and a Nuclear Blast release in Europe. Every song is credited to Joey Belladonna, Frank Bello, Charlie Benante and Scott Ian.

The album opens with "Persistence of Memory," a piece just over a minute long, and its longest track is "The Edge of Perfection" at 6:46. Three singles came out ahead of the album: "It's For the Kids" in May, "The Edge of Perfection" in July and "Everybody's Got a Plan" in August 2026. The video for "Everybody's Got a Plan" was made from footage of the band's show at Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica in Lisbon, where they were supporting Iron Maiden. Charlie Benante described it as "a montage of video clips that kinda matches the velocity of the song."

Sound of White Noise reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 in 1993, and Worship Music reached No. 12 in 2011. Among the Living, State of Euphoria and Persistence of Time were each certified gold in the US.
