This is the independent-store cassette of Cursum Perficio, the 2026 Anthrax album released in the United States by Megaforce Records. The tape carries the complete eleven-song program, opening on "Persistence of Memory" and ending with "My Victory." A standard cassette edition was issued separately for general retail.

Ten years passed between For All Kings and this record, the longest wait between two Anthrax studio albums. Vocal sessions got underway on November 5, 2023. The Latin title speaks of a journey completed, though the band has said the album is not meant as their last.

The title track, eighth in the running order at 6:08, was given a black-and-white music video. It was directed by Don Argott, whose earlier films include the Lamb of God documentary As the Palaces Burn, and it features London May, drummer and bassist in Samhain, Glenn Danzig's former band.
