Amy Winehouse - Back To Black (Deluxe Half-Speed Master)

Deluxe Edition Half-Speed Master on 180-Gram 2LP Vinyl

This deluxe edition of Back to Black was cut at half speed by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios and pressed on two 180-gram LPs in a gatefold sleeve, with a half-speed mastering certificate in the package. In a half-speed cut the source plays back at half its normal speed while the lathe turns at 16 2/3 RPM, so the finished record plays at the correct speed at home.

The set was issued in 2016 for the album's 10th anniversary. The first LP holds the original 11-track album. The second is the bonus album from the 2007 Deluxe Edition CD, with "Valerie," "Cupid" and "Monkey Man" among its eight tracks, and Amy Winehouse's official store notes that many of them appear on vinyl here for the first time.

Back to Black was first released in October 2006, produced by Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi. It reached No. 1 in the UK and No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and its singles were "Rehab," "You Know I'm No Good," "Back to Black," "Tears Dry on Their Own" and "Love Is a Losing Game."

At the 50th Annual Grammy Awards in February 2008 the album won Best Pop Vocal Album. "Rehab" won Record of the Year and Song of the Year, and Winehouse won Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
