A double LP on clear vinyl in a gatefold jacket, and the first vinyl edition of Love 2 to collect the bonus material. Side D carries three tracks that were not on the 2009 album: "Danger Zone" and "The Dream Of Yi," which appeared only on the US iTunes deluxe edition, and "Indian Summer," which was the Japanese edition's extra. Side B also runs in a different order from the original CD, with "Night Hunter" moved ahead of "Tropical Disease."

Love 2 is AIR's fifth studio album, written, performed and produced entirely by Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoit Dunckel at Studio Atlas, the facility they built for themselves in northern Paris. Virgin released it on September 30, 2009 in Japan and in early October elsewhere. Joey Waronker played drums and percussion on several tracks.

"Sing Sang Sung" went out as the first single in August 2009 and "So Light Is Her Footfall" followed in February 2010. The album reached number twelve in France, number one hundred on the Billboard 200, and number five on the US Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.
