This is the black vinyl LP of You're Gonna Need A Little Music, the third studio album from Leeds band Yard Act. It comes in a reverse board jacket with a black paper inner sleeve and a fold-out insert carrying a photo, lyrics and credits, with six songs on side A and five on side B. Republic Records released it in the US on July 17, 2026.
Justin Meldal-Johnsen, whose credits include Beck, Nine Inch Nails and St. Vincent, produced the album, which was recorded in Leeds and Los Angeles. Frontman James Smith has said the band's first two records were "laptop records"; this one was made by the four-piece playing together in a room, after a five-month break from touring in which Smith wrote 40 or 50 songs.
Yard Act's 2022 debut, The Overload, was nominated for the Mercury Prize and peaked at No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart, and Where's My Utopia? followed in 2024. "Redeemer," in the video above, was the first single from the new record.
