200g Double Vinyl LP With Lyric Sheet

Ape House's 2019 edition of English Settlement, catalog number APELPX105, presents the full fifteen-song double album on two 200-gram LPs and includes a lyric sheet. The search for the album's multitrack tapes, wanted for new Steven Wilson mixes, came up empty, but it turned up the original half-inch master tapes instead. Engineer John Dent cut new lacquers from those masters, and the sticker on the jacket notes that the cut was approved by Andy Partridge.

The album was XTC's fifth and their first double, released by Virgin in February 1982. The band recorded it at The Manor Studio in Oxfordshire with Hugh Padgham, who had engineered their previous two albums, and the arrangements lean on acoustic guitar, 12-string electric guitar and fretless bass. Several territories outside the UK first received a single-LP version with five songs removed.

English Settlement reached No. 5 on the UK Albums Chart and No. 48 on the Billboard 200, and "Senses Working Overtime" reached No. 10 on the UK singles chart. The cover is drawn from the Uffington White Horse, the chalk hill figure in Oxfordshire.

Shipping Speeds & Delivery Estimates

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.

• Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.

Preorders may be cancelled for a full refund at any time before the order ships.

Once a preorder has shipped, it is treated as a completed order and is subject to the return, refund, and exchange policies outlined above.
