CD Album in a Six-Panel Wallet

This is the compact disc edition of Cousin, the thirteenth studio album by Wilco, issued on September 29, 2023 by the band's own dBpm Records under catalog number DBPM 001-23 CD. The single disc comes in a six-panel wallet with the lyrics and credits printed inside. Azuma Makoto made the flower art on the cover, Shiinoki Shunsuke took the photographs, and Jeff Tweedy and Alexa Viscius designed the package. Bob Ludwig mastered the album.

Welsh songwriter Cate Le Bon produced Cousin and also plays bass, piano and synthesizer and sings backing vocals on it. Work at The Loft, the band's Chicago studio, ran from January 2019 to May 2023 and grew out of demos Tweedy made in 2019; Le Bon steered the band away from playing live in the room, tracking instruments individually instead. Wilco made the 2022 double album Cruel Country in part to give themselves more time to finish this one.

All ten songs are written by Jeff Tweedy and played by the lineup of Nels Cline, Mikael Jorgensen, Glenn Kotche, Pat Sansone, John Stirratt and Tweedy, with Spencer Tweedy on additional percussion and Euan Hinshelwood on saxophone. Tom Schick engineered and mixed the sessions.

Cousin was the first dBpm release under the label's distribution agreement with Sony. "Evicted" came out as the lead single on August 1, 2023, followed by the title track on September 14. Metacritic's weighted average of 16 critic scores came to 82 out of 100, a figure the aggregator classes as universal acclaim.

Shipping Speeds & Delivery Estimates

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.

Signature Requirements

Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.

• Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.

Preorders may be cancelled for a full refund at any time before the order ships.

Once a preorder has shipped, it is treated as a completed order and is subject to the return, refund, and exchange policies outlined above.
