Manufactured On Demand CD in a Jewel Case

This is the compact disc edition of SZNZ: Spring, the first of four seasonal records in Weezer's SZNZ project (pronounced "seasons"). The music came out digitally on March 20, 2022, the day of the spring equinox. This CD followed on April 29, 2022. In the US the disc comes from Atlantic's manufactured-on-demand line and is packed in a standard jewel case. It carries the original seven-track EP sequence. The vinyl edition that followed in early 2023 adds "Across the Meadow" ahead of "Wild at Heart."

Rivers Cuomo first described the SZNZ concept in a January 2021 interview and said he wanted the spring installment to feel "happy, chill, stress-free." The band tied the record's look to a pre-Christian era, drawing on the Celts, Paganism and Wicca. Warner Music's own product copy notes that each of the four SZNZ releases interpolates a movement from Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, one of the project's starting points. "The Sound of Drums" includes portions of two poems: "Back to the River" by Abigail Spinner McBride and "Air I Am" by Andras Corban-Arthen.

Production is by Ethan Gruska, Jake Sinclair and Suzy Shinn. Sinclair and Shinn had already worked with Weezer on the White Album (2016) and OK Human (2020). Bernie Grundman mastered the record, and Tension Division handled art direction and design. "A Little Bit of Love" was released as the single on March 16, 2022. Metacritic lists the record's reviews as "generally favorable," with a weighted score of 63 from seven critics. Crush Music and Atlantic Records released it.

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.
