Standard CD Edition

This is the compact disc of OK Human, Weezer's fourteenth studio album, issued by Atlantic with Crush Music. Atlantic dated the CD February 12, 2021, two weeks after the album first appeared on January 29. It holds all twelve songs in their original running order, about thirty and a half minutes of music. Pete Lyman mastered the disc at Infrasonic Sound. Jasper Graham designed the package around Mattias Adolfsson's cover illustration, and Brendan Walter handled photography and creative direction.

Work on the record began as early as 2017, with a plan to pair the band with an orchestra. Producer Jake Sinclair, who had worked with Weezer on the 2016 White Album, proposed a 38-piece orchestra and gave Rivers Cuomo Harry Nilsson's Nilsson Sings Newman as a reference point. The album was recorded entirely on analog equipment, and the band has said the sessions used no click track, no loops and no electric guitar. Rob Mathes arranged and conducted the strings, horns and woodwinds, which were recorded by string sections at Abbey Road in London and by string, wind and horn players at Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. The band tracked at Gloria Sound in Van Nuys, where the album was also mixed, and at other Los Angeles-area studios. Cuomo sings and plays piano, with Brian Bell on acoustic guitar and organ, Scott Shriner on bass and Patrick Wilson on drums. Suzy Shinn contributed additional vocal production.

The title is a play on Radiohead's 1997 album OK Computer. Cuomo wrote every song alone except the opener, "All My Favorite Songs," which he co-wrote with Ashley Gorley, Ben Johnson and Ilsey Juber. That song came out as the lead single on January 21, 2021, with a video directed by Colin Read. OK Human peaked at No. 41 on the Billboard 200, No. 5 on Billboard's Top Alternative Albums and No. 6 on Top Rock Albums, and it holds a Metacritic score of 75 based on 21 reviews. Weezer released Van Weezer four months later.
