This is the black vinyl edition of Dirt (Redux) from Magnetic Eye Records, catalog MER073. The music runs across three sides of two LPs in a gatefold jacket, and the fourth side is etched rather than grooved.
Dirt (Redux) covers Alice In Chains' 1992 album Dirt from start to finish, one track per band, in the original running order. Magnetic Eye first released it on September 18, 2020, as part of its Redux series, in which current heavy bands rework a classic album. Dirt itself reached number 6 on the Billboard 200 and is certified 5x platinum by the RIAA.
The lineup draws on the doom, sludge, and stoner metal scenes: Thou opens with "Them Bones," Khemmis takes "Down In A Hole," -(16)- plays "Hate To Feel," and The Otolith closes with "Would?". Also on the record are Low Flying Hawks, High Priest, These Beasts, Howling Giant, Forming The Void, Somnuri, Backwoods Payback, Black Electric, and Vokonis.
