Green Kill Outfit Vinyl 2LP in a Gatefold Jacket

Real Gone Music's expanded edition of the Dexter soundtrack spreads the full program of the 2007 CD across two LPs, pressed on green "Kill Outfit" vinyl named for the clothes Dexter wears on his nighttime work. The discs sit in a gatefold jacket with blood-spatter artwork, catalog number LPRGM2149C. Real Gone sold two smaller-run colorways through its own store; this green pressing is the regular retail edition.

Milan Records issued the original album in August 2007, drawn from the first season of the Showtime series, which ran from 2006 to 2013 with Michael C. Hall as Miami blood-spatter analyst and vigilante killer Dexter Morgan. The earlier vinyl was a shortened single LP; this set restores everything.

Sides A and B open with Rolfe Kent's title theme and mix the Latin music used for the show's Miami setting, from Beny More, Kinky, Ray Armando and the Mambo All-Stars, with Andy Williams' "Born Free" and three spoken pieces by Hall in character. Kinky's version of the main title starts side C.

The rest of the record belongs to Daniel Licht, who scored the series, including "Astor's Birthday Party" and the "Blood Theme" heard over the end credits. Jon Licht's "Die This Way" closes side D as a bonus track.
