Indie Exclusive Transparent Red Vinyl LP

This is the limited transparent red pressing of Different When It's Silent, made for independent record stores and issued on Tricky's own False Idols label under catalog number FI002LP. The fourteen tracks are split seven to a side on a single LP. A standard black LP, a CD and a numbered Dinked edition on white vinyl were released alongside it under their own barcodes.

It is Tricky's fifteenth studio album and his first full-length under his own name since Fall to Pieces in 2020. In the years between he released records as Lonely Guest, as Theis Thaws with producer Mike Theis, and a joint album with Marta, all on False Idols. He has said he first thought of this one as another side project, until his manager, Alan McGee, heard the songs and judged them a Tricky record.

It was recorded between Tricky's home in France and sessions in Bristol. The Bristol singer Mitch Sanders sings on most of the album, and The List notes that every song credits Sanders and Tricky as co-writers. Radana appears on the track named after her, and the closing "Out Of Place," the first single, features longtime collaborator Marta; it was written for her own album before Tricky reclaimed it.

The label describes the sound as skeletal blues, brooding electronics, distorted guitars and stark hip-hop rhythms. Tricky says of it: "I just love making music. I'm grateful I've had the chance to live this life and keep creating."

Shipping Speeds & Delivery Estimates

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.

Signature Requirements

Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.
