Compact Disc

SideOneDummy's compact disc of Shed, catalog number SD1441-2, in a standard jewel case. All twelve songs sit on one disc at a stated running time of 27:17.

Shed was Title Fight's debut studio album, and it followed a 2009 compilation, The Last Thing You Forget. Ned Russin framed the step up plainly at the time: it would be "the first time we have a recording that's longer than seven minutes, so this is a long time coming."

The release was handled a piece at a time. The signing was announced on January 20, 2011. On February 10 the album was dated for May and the track listing published, with "27" given away as a free download; "Flood of '72" followed on March 1 and the title track on April 26. The album streamed in full on May 2 and arrived the next day.

Walter Schreifels produced the record. Jamie Rhoden and Ned Russin trade and share the lead vocal across the twelve tracks, and the writing is credited to the band as a whole. Dirk Fritz handled the layout, and Alex Dow is among the photographers credited on the package. The songs move between punk rock, emo, melodic hardcore and post-hardcore.

The band toured behind it through 2011 and 2012: a first US headlining run in May and June with Touché Amoré, The Menzingers, Dead End Path and Shook Ones, the UK and Europe in July, the Alternative Press fall tour supporting Four Year Strong, Japan in February 2012, and a US run opening for Rise Against that spring. A 7-inch of the outtakes "Missed" and "Dreamcatchers" appeared on November 21, 2011.
