Limited Blue Jay Colored Vinyl LP, Cut From The Original Analog Masters By Kevin Gray

This is Jackpot Records' Blue Jay pressing of Struttin', a limited colored-vinyl edition issued in 2023 under catalog number JPR 088 and licensed from Rhino. Kevin Gray cut the lacquers from the original analog master tapes at Cohearent Audio, the record was pressed at Memphis Record Pressing, and the jacket reproduces the original Josie artwork.

Struttin' was the Meters' third album, released by Josie in 1970. Allen Toussaint and Marshall Sehorn produced it at Cosimo Matassa's studio in New Orleans, with Art Neville on organ and vocals, Leo Nocentelli on guitar, George Porter Jr. on bass and Ziggy Modeliste on drums.

Jackpot's notes point to the album's greater emphasis on Art Neville's vocals, in place of the shouted call-and-response choruses of the first two records. Alongside the band's own songs it carries Jimmy Webb's "Wichita Lineman" and "Ride Your Pony," a Lee Dorsey hit. "Chicken Strut" was the first single and reached No. 11 on Billboard's R&B singles chart, and the album reached No. 32 on the R&B albums chart.

The same notes name J Dilla, A Tribe Called Quest and Whitney Houston among the artists who have sampled "Hand Clapping Song." Reviewing Jackpot's Meters reissues for Stereophile, Ken Micallef called this one "true to the original."

Shipping Speeds & Delivery Estimates

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.

Signature Requirements

Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.

Once your order ships, you’ll receive tracking information via email. We recommend monitoring tracking updates and ensuring delivery to a secure location.

Evergreen Vinyl is not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after being marked as delivered by the carrier. Customers are responsible for selecting a shipping address where deliveries can be received safely.

• Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.

Preorders may be cancelled for a full refund at any time before the order ships.

Once a preorder has shipped, it is treated as a completed order and is subject to the return, refund, and exchange policies outlined above.
