Pressed for independent record stores. War Machine is the first album from the French band The Lanskies in ten years, recorded with a new line-up and issued by the independent French label ZRP on April 17, 2026.
The band recorded at Studio de la Chouette, and Clive Martin mixed the album; his credits include Queen, The Cure, Stereophonics, Les Wampas and Les Negresses Vertes. Lewis Evans, who fronted the group before the break, leads the eleven-track record. ZRP places the album between post-punk and indie-pop, and names Pulp, Kaiser Chiefs, LCD Soundsystem, Talking Heads and Oasis among its reference points.
Arte's Tracks described the band's music as hot wave; their previous album carries the same name. That record took them through some fifty concerts, from Rock en Seine to China.
"Sexy Teacher" and "Jacky" both carry official videos, and "Strawberry Lane" was issued as a single. ZRP also released War Machine on CD and as a gold Collector Edition carrying an additional track; this pressing is the independent-retail edition of the standard eleven-track album.
Evergreen Vinyl ships records with care and attention to detail, using established carriers and packaging practices designed to protect physical media in transit.
