Toxicity is System Of A Down's second album, released September 4, 2001 on American Recordings and Columbia. Rick Rubin produced it with guitarist Daron Malakian. It entered the Billboard 200 at number one on 220,000 copies in its first week and topped the Canadian albums chart the same week. "Chop Suey!" led the singles, followed by the title track and "Aerials."

This 25th anniversary edition presses the album on Scarlet Marble vinyl. It adds a 7-inch single of "Johnny," a track previously available only as a bonus on rare 2001 editions, with a custom etched design on the B-side. A custom double-sided poster is included in the LP packaging, and the hidden closing track is correctly identified here as "Der Voghormia" - earlier editions listed it as "Arto."
