Indie Exclusive Royal Blue Vinyl 2LP in a Gatefold Jacket

This is the independent-store edition of GUY: two 150-gram royal blue LPs in a gatefold jacket, issued by New West Records under catalog number NW5296. The sixteen songs run four to a side. Cameron Henry cut the lacquers at Welcome To 1979 in Nashville. A black 2LP and a later red and orange swirl edition carry their own barcodes.

GUY is Steve Earle's tribute to Guy Clark, who died in May 2016. Earle had arrived in Nashville in 1974 as a nineteen-year-old from San Antonio and soon played bass in Clark's band. In the fall of 2018 he and The Dukes recorded these sixteen Clark songs at House of Blues studio in Nashville in six days, aiming for a live sound. New West released the album on March 29, 2019, about a decade after Earle's Townes Van Zandt tribute, TOWNES.

The Dukes here are Eleanor Whitmore on fiddle and mandolin, Chris Masterson on guitar, Kelley Looney on bass and Brad Pemberton on drums. Emmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell join the closing "Old Friends," which carries additional recording from Arlyn Studios in Austin. Tony Fitzpatrick made the front cover and Terry Allen the back.

Six of the songs come from Clark's 1975 debut, Old No. 1, on which Earle sang. Americana UK gave the album 8 out of 10.

Shipping Speeds & Delivery Estimates

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.

Signature Requirements

Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.
